Kent Stotz launches the
HRCA-sponsored Honda CBR1000RR
Memphis was hot and slippery as
ussual. We have never had the RR on this hot (135 degree) a track.
It took us until first round of Sunday eliminations to get a hold
of the track. All of the clutch and boost adjustments helped but
in the end, I rode it like I was back on the street. Seat of the
pants riding got us down the track with some consistency. In the
final I turned the boost up 1 lbs in every gear. It wheelied going
into 2nd and when it came down the chassis unloaded and it was
over. All in all it was still a good weekend. Coming from the
10th qualifing position Saturday to finish 2nd was tough. I could
not have done this without my crewchief Mark Harrell. Welcome
back Mark.
